We can help you with a medical certificate from day 8 if you are still ill, or if there is a medical record confirming your condition from no more than one (1) week ago.
Sick pay
If an employee becomes ill and is therefore unable to come to work or otherwise carry out their duties, the employer is, during certain periods, required to pay sick pay to the employee. The rules around sick pay are often regulated in collective agreements and may therefore differ between industries where employees are covered by such agreements. It is therefore important to check what applies in any collective agreement that covers your workplace.
The employee must verify their absence due to illness with a written statement. The statement must indicate that the employee has been ill and to what extent they have been absent from work due to illness. It is not necessary to state which illness has caused the reduced work capacity.
If the employee is ill for more than seven days, the employee must verify that their work capacity is reduced by means of a medical certificate.
